Information for Authors
Important Dates
- Paper submission deadline: February 11, 2009 Strict deadline

Paper Format
Papers must be submitted in PDF format and cannot be longer than 8 pages. The paper must contain a short abstract (up to 250 words), the complete list of authors including affiliations, and keywords. The layout of the papers must comply with the IEEE Xplore standards (PDF sample layout).
The following templates may be used:
- LaTeX2e class (Be sure to use \documentclass[conference]{IEEEtran} to obtain 10 pt output);
- Openoffice Writer template;
- Microsoft Word template;
Final Paper Submission
- Deadline for the completed upload: 2009-04-15 (April 15, 2009) - THIS DEADLINE CANNOT BE EXTENDED!
- Thoroughly read the reviews and improve the paper according to them.
- Use IEEE Conference eXpress® to check the IEEE publication preparation guidelines and upload your paper!

- The site opens on 2009-04-01.
- The 'Conference ID' required by the system is "ngi09".
- The site closes on 2009-04-15.
- DO NOT USE EDAS TO UPLOAD THE FINAL MANUSCRIPT.
If you used LaTeX as source for your paper and created the PDF file directly from the TeX source without using EPS files, don't reconvert your figures! Upload your paper's sources using the IEEE Conference eXpress® site, and if you get an error, request a manual conversion of the document.
Please ensure that the presenter of your paper is registered in the event until May 20th in order to guarantee that the paper will be published in the IEEE Xplore.
Instructions for Presentation
You have:
- 17 minutes to present your paper, and
- 3 minutes for questions and discussion.
NGI covers a broad area, don't expect the audience to be expert in your field!
- explain the problem your work is about,
- give an idea of your solution, but avoid technical details, and
- give a meaningful conclusion regarding the impact of your work!
Post-proceedings
Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit an extended version for a special issue of the Telecommunication Systems journal from Springer.
